How many of your children's baby clothes have you kept? Was it sentimental or 'just in case'? I have an enormous collection for both reasons, and while I have given a LOT away, there are some that I just couldn't part with. But the question soon becomes, what do you do with these sentimental pieces? I was laughing with a friend the other day about framing some, but I really can't imagine that hanging anywhere in my house! Personally even this was a challenge for me (yes, I am a little bit of a hoarder when it comes to my daughter's things), but with the clear instructions given by Sarah on the order form, I was able to pick a lovely selection of clothes that would suit perfectly. The wonderful thing about Teddies to Treasure, is that each bear is lovingly hand made, so if you have a motif, piece of embroidery, or even a ruffle that is important to you, Sarah will do her utmost to include it in your teddy.

I was so pleased with the level of communication from Sarah throughout the process, as it was an odd feeling sending off so many sentimental pieces into the unknown. Especially when they were going to be cut up! But Sarah immediately put my mind at ease, and provided plenty of information to prepare me, and make the process seamless!

The absolutely delightful teddy bear that arrived in the post shortly after was a

wonderful surprise. Not because I wasn't expecting it to be delightful, but because of the lovely personality that the teddy exudes. The smile on her face just grabs your attention as soon as you see her. So much so, that every visitor that stopped by while she was sitting on our table left with a flyer that Sarah had included for me! Now if that's not a genuine reflection of how lovely these bears are, I don't know what is.

These bears are so beautifully made, with moveable legs meaning they can be placed in a sitting or standing position for display (although our little one will be sitting, because Sarah has embroidered my daughter's name and date of birth on the foot). And while these are not recommended as a toy, especially for small children, I can absolutely see this teddy being loved and appreciated by my daughter as she gets older. Although for now, Miss2 calls this teddy 'Mummy's special teddy bear'.

The extra bonus is that you aren't limited to just baby clothes. It has been suggested to me that a collection of band shirts, with different logos would be a cute idea for a present for dad. Tribute teddies are also an option. Virtually anything that you can think of, provided you have the required amount of material. The possibilities are endless!

So I challenge you to see if you can find some of your children's or grand children's clothes, dig deep into the boxes at the back of the wardrobe, because I can tell you, you will not regret the decision to turn these forgotten pieces into a very special little teddy bear.
